This article is about how to recover reset ASUS UX21 Zenbook us.
Windows operating system on the notebook we sometimes experience interference so we need to do a recovery kekeadaan factory (Factory Installed). This article shows a simple process you can do yourself to do the factory installed recovery on an ASUS notebook. For that we are using an ASUS Zenbook UX21 (read review ASUS Zenbook UX21) equipped with storage Solid State Disk (SSD). The F9 key that we will press to access the "ASUS Preload Wizard" is only valid for ASUS notebooks. There are other different buttons to use another brand notebook recovering.
Preparation prior to recovery:
- If we have a drive C and D on the computer, it would at least not ALL data on drive C will be LOST EVERYTHING. Data on Drive D can also be lost if we are not careful to choose the option choices on our menu. So please do this process with caution. Move all the important data that we need from drive C (and D or other drive).
- The application that we have installed to the computer ALSO BE LOST. So make sure we have all the CD / DVD installation (or installation file) program we need.
Step 1: Restart your computer and press F9 when the computer restarts. ASUS Preload Wizard screen will appear with the display as shown below. We choose the language that we need (usually English) and press the "NEXT"
Step 2: Select one of the menu recovery. At Zenbook UX21 appears only second choice. We select it and press the "NEXT".
Option 1: "Recover Windows to first partition only" would be chosen if the SSD Zenbook UX21 we have to be more than one partition. The problem in the UX21 only SSD at 128 GB pre-formatted or just about 100GB once formatted. If we do have to have a second partition, then the data on the second partition will still be there.
Option 2: "Recover Windows to entire HD" will appear when there is only one partition on the hard disk. The entire old data on the SSD will be LOST and replaced with the new Windows installation.
Option 3: "Recover Windows to entire HD with two partitions". Tambah.info not try this option immediately. After checking on the internet, it turns out this is the option to delete all data and partitions on the notebook, and create two new partitions (partitions C and D). Partition C will be made by 60% of all the SSD / HDD available. Partition D will be made by 40% (the rest) of the whole SSD / HDD available.
Step 3: Waiting for the recovery process is complete. There is a long process that will run automatically. Make sure our notebook connected to power. The process of recovery in the ASUS Zenbook UX21 lasts a VERY FAST assisted by SSD with good speed. I do not know how many drivers were installed into a notebook followed by the reboot process. The whole process of recovery in UX21 completed in approximately 15 minutes. Another ASUS notebook using the HDD may take 45 minutes to do the same recovery. So Tambah.info can add one more advantage SSDs use for business: "Saving time in the recovery process of the operating system".
